Do I need a permit for a fence in Toronto?

Who owns the fence between my neighbour and me?
Typically the fence on the property line is shared. Ontario's Line Fences Act covers cost-sharing between neighbours if you can't agree. We recommend discussing with neighbours before building — cost-sharing is common and avoids future disputes. We can provide a quote both neighbours can review.
Do you install pool fences?
