Repair List FAQ

Common Questions About Bundled Repairs

What counts as 'general home repair'?
Pretty much any small to medium fix that doesn’t need a specialist license. Think drywall patches, sticky doors, loose handles, dripping faucets, light fixtures, baseboards, caulking, picture hanging, furniture assembly, tightening & tweaking. If your list has more than 2–3 items, this is the right service. For a single big job (full kitchen reno, electrical panel), book the specific service page instead.
Is there a maximum number of items I can put on my list?
No. Some of our biggest bundled visits have 15+ items. The math just keeps working in your favour — the $150 minimum applies once, and we bill $90/hour for the time we’re actually on site. The bigger the list, the better the per-item value.
Do you have to see each repair before quoting?
Usually no. Most small repairs are easy to estimate from a description and a photo. Send us your list with a few phone photos, and we’ll give you a time-and-cost estimate before any work starts. For unusual or complex items, we may ask one or two follow-up questions.
What if you finish my list faster than expected?
You pay less. We bill in 15-minute increments for time on site after the first hour, so if we finish your 4-hour list in 3 hours, you pay for 3 hours. We don’t pad time — if you have extras you want done while we’re there, just add them.
Can I add items to my list once you arrive?
Yes, absolutely — this happens all the time. Customers walk through with us and notice things they forgot. We’ll quote each addition before doing it, and if it fits within the original time estimate it’s often no extra cost beyond the hourly.
What if I need materials? Do I supply them?
Your call. For most small repairs, you can pick up materials yourself (paint, fixtures, hardware) and we install them. If you prefer convenience, we can pick up common items on the way and bill at cost + a small handling fee (max 15%, disclosed upfront).
Do you guarantee bundled repair work?
Yes — every item on the list is covered by our Happiness Guarantee. If something we did isn’t right, we come back at no charge. We’ve maintained a five-star rating on Google by standing behind our work.
How quickly can you tackle my repair list?
For typical lists of 5–10 items, we can often book you for same-day or next-day within our Mon–Sat 8 AM–8 PM hours. Larger lists (20+ items) may need to be scheduled for a specific day. Call early in the morning for the best slot.
What if my list has plumbing or electrical work mixed in?
We handle minor plumbing (faucet swaps, leaks, P-traps) and minor electrical (light fixtures, outlets, switches) as part of the bundle. For major plumbing (re-piping) or electrical (panel work, new circuits) that require permits, we’ll flag those items and either coordinate with a licensed specialist or refer you out.
Can you handle move-in or pre-sale punch lists?
Yes — these are some of our most common bundled visits. New homeowners often have a list from their inspection report; sellers often have a list from their realtor. We’re used to working through these efficiently and can usually fit them in within 1–2 days’ notice.
